Google Chrome - Incognito (Porn) Mode

Incognito mode is good when you want to browse in privacy stealth mode.

As google says: "for example, to plan surprises like gifts or birthdays..." or as we say: "To watch porn!".

Well, for those ( rare ) occasions, Google Chrome offers the incognito browsing mode. Web pages that you open in this mode won't appear in your browsing or download history and all cookies gathered in this mode will be deleted after you close the incognito window.

Note:
- You can browse in incognito mode, while keeping your normal browser windows opened.
- You can right-click any link in Chrome browser and browse it in incognito mode by selecting "Open link in incognito window".

This is how you turn on the incognito mode:
- Click the Page menu.
- Select New incognito window.

Firefox and Opera already have security settings that will clear that data when you close their browsers. Chrome should have settings so you can always browse "Incognito" without having to remember to open a stealth window. One step ahead of IE where any deletion is manual.

I suspect that there were battles within Google by those with privacy concerns and those seeking to optimize data collection for revenue purposes and the "Incognito" window was the compromise.

You forget another reason for data collection: make their search algorithms better

heheheh, chrome actually makes it easier for you to be less suspect. Since you can leave the safe sites on the browser's history, while keeping your deepest darkest .... secret... off it

I think you got it right on the money. Google is making most of its money from search and hence don't like every thing to be hidden. Data is money for them.

I think you're correct on that theory. Google has a revenue model to go with and their browser will definitely adhere to these rules. But look most people don't care (IE users) and those who do, do have an option.

Yes, that is what drives popularity to this incognito mode. And you will have to choose each and every webpage and delete them separately in any other browser so that not all webpages are deleted which will look realistic as if we didn't delete cookies after watching anything.

But incognito mode makes it as simple as possible. Just keep an incognito mode window open behind your usual chrome browser
